Drich, can you cut your ego down to a manageable size? We get it: you're an arrogant douche bag, but for the sake of rational people (not you) who can't seem to see over your head to read your posts, please limit your sanctimony to a minimum that allows at least some of your content to be read without any great effort.

Please, and thank you.

Here's an update on the OP, too: reportedly the family is now demanding that their son remove the video of them. I guess obeying god's word is only important so long as they face absolutely no negative consequences at all. Rolleyes

To the surprise of no one. It's obviously about their self image of good christian folk that they're worried about. The mother doesn't want people thinking she supports homosexuality, and the father is angry at whatever he put up on facebook.

They already didn't follow Yahweh's words when they failed to drag him in front of the community with a wheelbarrow full of rocks so everyone could stone him to death. Not that homosexuals have never been killed in America before.

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.

Oooh .. someone is feeling a little testy. Not comfortable hearing what your ilk sounds like, is it?

Since Ryan's comment doesn't immediately precede your own it isn't convenient for anyone of any age to go back looking for it just to find out what it is you're bitching about. Please try at least to better attend to my convenience.

I am late on this one. I watched the video. Wow. Don't know what to say. I was surprised when the violence started.

I do believe he said some things he probably shouldn't have said, but it was just horrible that his mom started hitting him. I assume that what he meant by her twisting his words is that he said he was choosing to come out as homosexual, and she interpreted it as him choosing to be homosexual.

You could see the violence coming a mile off. It was obvious that they'd have nowhere else to go with their line of argument after 30 seconds.

I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)

RE: The "gay recruitment" myth
A couple of questions:

1. Why is this thread named "gay recruitment myth" when the topic of discussion is about the video of the boy coming out to christian parents, with no mention of "recruitment."

2. What in hell is Drich talking about? I haven't a clue.. Ryan's post seems normally formated.
