RE: My mom wouldnt let me order a fancy drink for my birthday
I haven't spoken to my father for well over 20 years.

And it is a matter of total indifference to me.

I'm going to take a guess here. Maybe J Ashley's problem is that up until recently, her mum and dad let her have a sip of wine for her birthday, because: The French. But thiS year, they've identified their beloved daughter as a rebellious, bad choice making, hormone infused idiot version of their daughter and have had to un naturally adjust their own behaviors in defense of her temporary insanity, and hope they can survive the next few years without a grandchild popping out to grace their retirement years with another 18 years of dependency. J Ashley doesn't get to drink wine on her birthday and perceives this as a control tactic when in reality it would be wrong for her parents to advocate any and all insubordinate actions on their part-- because you never know what someone whose made themselves your enemy, will do.

In an age old battle of wills and knowledge, J Ashley is perceiving her parents as the enemy of her individuality, while opting to deny any and all very precious knowledge and guidance from the ones who gave birth to her, even though they are still providing her with a phone, a birthday, a purse, personal rights, and pretty much every other damn thing she's ever owned and feels entitled to.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

You know, it's amazing how many different fancy drinks you can have in three days when you have time off.

Perhaps I just get paid too much . . .
