Outstandingly good point. Religions can rattle on all they like about 'sanctity of life' and so on, but the trouble is that religionists will invariably get cheesed off about something or other and beat someone to death with a mallet.

Let me propose a simple rule:

If your god will torture me forever in the afterlife for not picking the right religion, then your religion is neither peaceful nor loving.
