To be successfully doesn't mean you have conquer the world, it doesn't mean you have to have a wonderful job like being a doctor, or whatever you consider to be a great job. I bet there are thousands that envy you, imagine living in part of the word where you have to scrounge ever day for something to eat. Learn to except where you are now and enjoy that, if things change for the better then except that also. I myself never respected life until I was shot by someone, also after having cancer and mental illness on top of that, yes we have our so called bad days and so called good days, its all part of life, be here, Now, not in some fantasy future dream, or regretting a dead past that is no longer here.

Your plight reminds me of something I heard a long time ago. There are two ways to tell if a man is rich or not.

1. Count up the things he has.
2. Count up the things he wants.

All you got to do is stop wanting things and you will be rich. I know that's easier said than done....but it can be done. Its a mindset, and perhaps knowing where you stand income wise in the world might give you the perspective to achieve that mindset.

I'm already well aware of where I stand income wise. I already understand that I really do have it pretty good.

Envy is perfectly natural. I sometimes find myslef envying my boss, who is a millionaire. But then I step back, look at him, being married for the third time to a trophy wife, having no real friends and having been pretty much abandoned by his children, who can't wait for his demise to inherit and that envy is gone pretty quickly.
