See this is the problem. You can make claims, but we Christians cannot. I made a claim, the onus is on me to prove it now. Your statement above is making accusations without letting myself prove my claim.

We atheists usually don't claim an absolute. That's why I cal myself an agnostic. I don't believe in a god, but I would never claim, I can prove the absence of a god.

Since there's no evidence whatsoever for a god existing, I don't believe. But you claim to have the evidence and base it only on a single book or personal experience that can't be replicated. By the same token you could claim to have been abducted by aliens. There is no solid proof and disbelieve is justified.

So if you're the one making the claim, you have the burden of proof.

So in a nutshell, you guys are saying that you do not want to debate me. Enough of you all making excuses. I have made enough convincing arguments in my recent threads that have proven to be a challenge to many seasoned Atheists. Probably that is the reason of all these excuses.

The only claims you can make on that basis are that the Bible says thus and so.

The Bible is not assumed to be true - you would first have to prove that it is.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

But you aren't even going to try and prove your claim just say things from a book you know we think is bullshit because WE'VE READ IT.

What is the point?

It would be like me trying to convince you of things by reading from the Koran or the book of Mormon.

It's a pointless exercise which is just a waste of everyone's time.

OK, last try. The bible isn't evidence. I won't go into details of how it has been created and how many times it has been changed for political reasons.

It is full of atrocities and contradictions. If you were to come up with the new testament as your source, I can only tell you, that Jesus himself said that he hadn't come to change the law but to enforce it. He also said, he wouldn't change an iota.

And even if he was the one to change everything, how would that compute with an unchangeable, all powerful being named god? Was god a child in the old testament, throwing tantrums and being cruel?

According to the trinity, Jesus is god after all.

And take a moment to digest the quote You shall have no other gods before me. Does god say, there are other gods?

Shit, I'll debate you. I would ask that the question remains a neutral one so that neither of us has to prove a negative, however.

That said, if you want to use the bible as a reference then I'll give you a free advance look at my opening strategy: using the bible as confirmation of its own claims is circular reasoning.

It isn't. The proposed evidence you use should comply with the standards of admissible evidence. The bible does not. Which is why your condition is irrational.
