It doesn't speak well for Democrats' collective intelligence that, 46 years after Nixon unveiled his Southern strategy (brought to poisonous fruition by Reagan), they still haven't figured out how to appeal to large numbers of working class voters who naturally should be part of their core constituency. It seems they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Yea I agree, that has been our pratfall. I think that changed though with Obama. I think we are waking up though. The cracks are showing because we are seeing GOP polls show more and more agreement with dems, it is just that when you point out that what they have in common with you they run away from it like the plague because it doesn't fit their long term indoctrination of party loyalty.

You ask general questions without pointing out party you find much more agreement on all sorts of issues. No one wants their social security or medicare screwed with. Even on guns there are agreements on things if not everything. No one thinks the minimum wage is enough. Proven by the fact that RED states voted for it.

So it really amounts to marketing. The GOP I really think has had a personal beef long term since Nixon got caught. They have beaten the dems with long term thinking. It is apt that their party symbol is an elephant. A selfish narcissistic elephant, but still one with a long term memory.

It is just a matter of beating them at their own game, minus the lies and fear. But we can be as tough and long term thinking as they have been.

Thats even better that he is doing it rather than congress. I have no doubt it wont get passed their district court, and if they turn it down the Supreme Court has a long history of backing up lower courts. That will blow up in the GOP's face congress wise because the Smurf will make them look even more like inept idiots.

It would be like instead of someone of more equal size going into the boxing ring, a midget jumping in with Rocky. Then the boxer they should have put in "GOP congress" will be sitting there going "THANKS DIPSHIT,"

I cant speak long term, because the GOP is alot like the Cowboys team, they are very slippery and you can pin them down but they still manage to win. But right now, anything the GOP does on this, if it works, and they get what they want, will be cutting their nose off to spite their face.

This might just be a way to allow it to get through and stay in law without them looking like they did it themselves. Get a small fry to sacrifice themselves so they don't have to own up to the fact that they wanted it too.

This just out. GOP isn't going to do anything because they know they cant win. So these cowards are going to allow a small fry to make the attempt that way when this guy loses they don't have to do anything and it takes the spotlight off of them

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/11/2...TZ20141121

This Sheriff has filed a lawsuit on this order. When he loses it will take the spotlight off of the GOP. The sick part is that that makes them cowards on top of fear mongers. The GOP majority has much more collective power than this one guy. So throw him to the lambs, "Poof" takes the spotlight off of congress.

If the GOP was so concerned about Obama breaking the law and they truly believed that they would take on the fight themselves. Outside that maybe this guy is merely going on his own which will undermine anything the GOP is trying to do.
