Why do people hate school shooters?

People kill people in the electric chair, people kill each other at school. What's the difference in your eyes? I don't see a seamless ethic here on your part, people who hate school shooters. Eric (Dylan's friend) once said that "there is no such thing as good or evil, it's all relative to the observer".
That should be a no-brainer.Thinking

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Absolutely. The fire bombing of Dresden comes to mind, particularly.

Quote:I grant the obvious objection that those policies aren't the norm; but it has happened in the past, and nuclear deterence, which is still our national policy, is predicated on the mass slaughter of civilians.

This doesn't negate your objection, of course; just offering a bit of nuance for it.
I'm of the opinion that all bets are off once we invoke MAD. If the other guys has tried to -completely end us-, from that point on whatever we do can be accurately described as the actions of an injured and dying animal lashing out against it's own annihilation. To my mind, that's a completely amoral subject. I appreciate the nuance, and I raise you my own..hehehehe.

But..Since we're referring to school shootings and "the killings overseas" I feel fairly confident that we are approaching the subject from a modern, american perspective entirely unrelated to nuclear deterence. If someone asked me what the difference between a school shooting and the fire bombing of dresden was from an ideological standpoint, I'd reply "vision and competence".

An apt point, sure. Setting aside for the moment that as policy, the policy of attacking German civilians was a planning failure (due to flawed assumptions about civilian behavior under attack that should have been discarded after the UK's experience in 1940-41) -- school shootings are rarely planned with a distinct objective in mind other than revenge in a broad, general sense -- meaning that trying to put yourself "on the other side of the hill" doesn't work very well, simply because it's difficult for most people to understand homicidal rage.

tl/dr: I see your nuance, and raise you a derail. Smile

honestly when I read about school shootings I have nothing but sympathy for the shooter. the other people who died are just nameless, nobodies. I just wish that the body count of these shooters could be higher. I am disappointed whenever I read about children getting away from the shooters like the sandy hook shooting. not that I would ever act out such things. I guess I just root for death.

I tried so hard to hold out hope for you. That maybe with a bit of positive attention you would realize that you really don't have to try so hard to get attention. You are so pathetic. You try way too hard to make a show and it's really sad. Your "I hate everyone" facade won't work on most people. We are intuitive enough to see that who you really hate is yourself, and rightfully so. You are a sad pathetic little child. I hope you grow up, get some help, get over your issues with inadequacy, and learn to stop hating yourself. For everyone's sake. I also wish you would kindly fuck off because you're smelling up my favorite forum with your bullshit.

I can think of one case where I too would root for death. You really should consider ending your suffering. The rest of us are tired of your squealing already.

I think you over romanticize the actions of the majority of school shooters.

The columbine shooters probably died virgins, they failed for some reason to kill a lot of the people who bullied them, the majority of the killings were done in their final visit to the library.

If the columbine shooters were characters in one of the computer games they loved, the outcome would be a big BIG mission fail.

You might say I ALMOST have a similar outlook to you, in that if the columbine killers were total victims and the people they killed were all the bullies of the school, I think it would be something admirable. They could have took a final stand.
Dylan and Eric have this cult following now based on a romantic version of what they did which didn't even happen, the killings were pure random stupidity.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.
