Isn't that what you are doing?

No, I'm asking you to substantiate your assertions.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Reality check:
We are all sinners and fall short of the bar God has set for us (ten commandments).
Those sins are washed away by Jesus' blood because he, the only one ever to make it all the way through life without sin took our sin to the cross for us out of love.

What the hell does that have to do with anything at this point?

The world we live in...... reality.
I was tagging along on your answer to oukoida's post

I understand all that but you haven't elucidated on how anything you said relates to a so-called 'reality check'.

I don't see how anything relating to 'sin' or this 'jesus' character you keep mentioning is something to do with reality?

Yep, yet another hebrew literary tradition christians have forgotten. Try golem folklore.

I did.

I pointed out that a relationship between two objects in reality is not the same kind of thing as a relationship between objects and the rules of reality.

This is obviously true.

No, in the proper context you said Douglas Adams was wrong and I asked you to elaborate. I'm not letting you wriggle until you complete the point.

Adams was wrong because he tried to use an relationship between two objects in reality to describe a relationship between an object and the rules of reality.

I shouldn't have to spell this out for you.

And you know what? I will walk back my claim that Adam's was wrong. Like you...he may have been talking about a different fine tuning other than the kind being discussed in this thread. But if you and him claim to be talking about the kind of fine tuning discussed in this thread...than both of you are clearly wrong.

Actually, he was warning about the dangers of complacency.

The most intelligent of men has the smarts of a grain of sand in comparison to Gods wisdom and knowledge which might be equivalent of an infinite desert of sand.
So it's good old "god works in mysterious ways" for you, eh? It's like you didn't even try to think about it. If those ways are so unknowable and mysterious then I'll stick to unbelief, since 'randomness' is far more likely than an unknowable invisible man in the sky.

So no, Jesus did not die for nothing, He died for us

Now you're not even trying to make sense anymore...
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."
