But many people are up at that time. In the past when I've done a group call we did it like this.
You open a call by just calling the specific people who are online (so as not to wake anyone) then you stay as long as you like. There will be a Join Call button at the bottom of the screen so anyone can come and go as they please. So a lot of times we would be in a call and then DLJ would stop in for a few since he's on the exact opposite time as most of us. And then Vosur would come in late or leave early depending on whether he was staying up late or getting up early.
