Little Britain Usa Episode 6 (Specifically)

I loved The Office, and when I watched the American version I was very impressed (I may even prefer it). Peep Show is brilliant too.

Science Fiction mainly ... comedy-wise I prefer stand-ups such as the late great Bill Hicks, the late great Carlin, Billy Connolly, Eddie Izzard.

I also love 'The Office', and I do not think the American version is half as good. Its just stupid, the original is subtle and cringey and you can actually imagine that someone likeDavid Brent might exist in real life, and it feels like a documentary. This is not the case with the American version IMO.
So yes I also forgot to mention the original 'The Office' but also I forgot to mention 'I'm Alan Partridge'!! That show is brilliant. It can be cringey and its very funny but it isn't really that believable, like the American version of 'The Office' but I think its a whole lot better and funnier than that. And Alan Partridge is a brilliant character. Hilarious. Genius.
Actually a lot of Alan Partridge is just totally absurd. It totally rocks though IMO.

The problem I found with Little Britain/Catherine Tate/Harry Enfield is that the shows are too similar every week. Initially they are funny but after 3-4 weeks of the same sort of thing happening it gets a bit dull.

Fry & Laurie/Bottom/Red Dwarf on the other hand are different each week (or at least the similarities are much smaller).

I've see bits of The Office but gave up due to its cringe-factor (I've not tried the US version). I will hopefully watch it all one day!

Same! On a technical level I can see it's very clever but I just can't laugh at it because I see people like that every day. I feel much the same about Absolutely Fabulous ... shows like that are just too much like real life I suppose.

I'm one of 5% of the population who just doesn't see what is funny about the office. It doesn't have any jokes or anything mildly hilarious happening; it's simply camera crew in an ordinary office, only the characters are more boring that usual people.

I agree with you Adrian, never liked the show, neither UK or US version. I like Jenna Fisher though. Smile

I've never liked absolutely fabulous really. Top 3 sitcoms are very probably, in no particular order : Bottom, Blackadder and Red Dwarf and my favourite sketch show ever is definitely ABOFAL by far.

Never watched Bottom but I have Blackadder (s2 & 4 are the best), Fawlty Towers and am collecting Red Dwarf (didn't like RD much when it went digital ... seemed to me that when they used crappy models it enhanced the show). I also love "The Vicar Of Dibley" and "Allo Allo". Like the BBC "Minister" series too and obviously (?) am a fan of "Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy" (and not the awful film version, book, radio & TV vers were great).
