New book validates biblical history?
Quote:A new book released last month reveals the accuracy of the Bible’s historical accounts and spotlights several recent findings that contradict the evolutionary time-frame.

That's the way to make a fortune - dangle some shiny ribbons in front of the sheep and they'll follow you everywhere you want.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

The writer of the book is claiming literalism. BTDT.

I thought we already had a book that reveals the accuracy of the Bible’s historical accounts...

RE: New book validates biblical history?
Mormon apologists have had decades of bitter struggle trying to explain why even a molecule of archeological evidence for ANY of the crap Joe Smith put in the Book of Mormon has yet to be discovered in the Americas.

I recall reading an essay by Isaac Asimov a VERY long time ago about Velikovsky's BS explanation for the 'miracles' in the exodus story, and Carl Sagan in the original Cosmos again blasted Velikovsky, although, as I recall, without going much into the exodus angle.

Not much of a chance the author of Brilliant won't rely on special pleadings, ignoring most accepted science, jumping on weak and made up crap to support his whackadoodle bible myth.

And I can guaranty, if he does trip over any evidence supporting the existence of an enormous stack of turtles somewhere in the universe, he sure as hell ain't going to publish that.

I'd normally think it fair to read a book before judging it, but...

He's a literalist, but he says whether or not one is, is not a "salvation issue". I'm relieved.

I look forward to seeing the author accept his nobel prize for showing through rigorous research that the theory of Evolution is wrong. It will be an historic occasion! I'm sure this will be totally different from all those other books that have offered similar "proof" Curious, though that he would choose to publish his findings in a book rather than submitting his work for peer review. It must be because all those unscrupulous god-hating evolutionists would never let his research be published.
