"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

Quote:I don't believe I ever commented on any of the commandments save your 9 and 10, so your assumptions are presumptuous. I don't believe the first 4 or any of them lack in morality at all. You broke the commandments down for me, with your opinions, on your other post. And as far as the first 4, that will simply have to be an, "Agree to disagree".... Quote:Belief has nothing to do with reading comprehension skills. I disagree with this statement. And again there is a reason for 34,000 branches of the Christian Sect. Not only did they all comprehended differently in what they read, but their "Belief" in something is just another variable out of the life situations that made them think differently about how and what they read.....etc. etc. etc. Quote:I don't believe I've ever show such a skewed view as you're attributing to me. No, not as bad as some..... ![]() Quote:He does not speak loosely at all about either peace or killing. You're correct, he's speaks very bluntly about both.... Quote:By your own admission you don't have the time or care for deep discussion, so I think I'm done feeding the troll for a while. No troll here, just someone who does not believe the "Ten Commandments" is the most moral guide line. |

I've edited it out again I apologize. I will agre that out perspective in life taints everything we take in including reading comprehension. I conceed that. I looked back at my post and only commented on 9 and 10 with a side note on "thou shall not steal. I'll leave the Jesus preaching hate and reading comprehension out of it and I'd be glad to share my opinions on anything regarding the 10 commandments you have to ask. |

RE: 10 Commandments
Tack, no problem at all.......I've done the same in the past...
I may be an ass hat at times...(Well, most of the time)...But just as I said to you a while back; my moments of finger pointing or more so for the extreme and literal believers.... But that doesn't mean I don't share my opinions from time to time with the 50/50's....lol |
