Only you could come out with that... pray tell where I've gone wrong !

Don't take it personally, lifes - we've all worded questions poorly, badly, or awkwardly at times.

In order to determine what things would be like if there were a god, you'd have to set some parameters as to what that particular god is like. For example, if there were a god that wanted to universe to appear exactly the way it would if there WERE no god, we couldn't tell. Then, one could postulate a god with a fetish for having only blue-leafed plants. Clearly a god like that doesn't exist.

The way you worded your question boils down to 'What would things be like if they were different?' See what I'm getting at? Your question - as asked - is just too impossibly broad to answer.

We have a friendly dislike for each other... it seems.. so don't tell me how to ask a high level question... it is what it is.
PS if you're about to post a reply and your response is going to be negative, improper, average, odd, obtuse, irrational, an argument, might change the focus, going off at a tangent or just mean ... go and find a maths forum to post on instead, they'll love you !!

lol, I don't dislike you. You can ask questions however you like. But - be fair - if the question is ambiguous or overly broad, you can't reasonably expect an answer, can you?

Of course I can.. I didn't want to name a god, so yes the ambiguity was very important...

Ok, let's try something. Here are a few ambiguous questions. Please answer them clearly, concisely, and accurately.

1. What shape is that thing in that place?

2. What was the name of the film where that guy did that stuff?

3. What will happen if you drop it?

4. If there were more than enough of them, how many should everybody get?

5. What should I do about it?
