Your Favourite
I'd like to know what everyone regards as their favourite song and some reasons why, this may be difficult for some people due to a wide taste on music or any other reason. It certainly is difficult for me, I struggled to pin down a favourite but I think this is it:

Daft Punk have always been on my media hot-list, they are a great duo and this song just epitomises the cheery attitude of French House. More specifically this song in particular cheers me up, it reminds me of the good times I have had the pleasure of experiencing in my short time on this Earth. It takes the worry out of life, it provides the notion of just enjoying life and for those reasons it is my favourite song.

Any replies will be appreciated Smile

RE: Your Favourite
It depends on my mood. I'd say "Last stop this town" by Eels.

I love that song, it speaks to me.

It has such a message, it's a real shame that Eels aren't more popular, they sure deserve it.

Love the Eels,

"Beautiful Freak" has so many great songs on it.

Jep, so does "Daisies of the Galaxy", "Electro shock Blues", "Blinking lights", etc. etc. Smile

The only eels CD I had a hard time liking was "Hombre Lobo". Most of the songs were okay at best, 1 or 2 were terrific, and the rest were just bad in my opinion.

RE: Your Favourite
When you've got as wildly variable tastes as I have (currently in my listening queue are the Spring Awakening OST, Django Reinhardt, Rammstein, J-Tull, Sade, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Tool, and the Prodigy), it is hard to pick out just one song. However, especially after writing a treatment which heavily features this song at its climax, I have to say that it's my favorite song.
I know I posted two versions of this song, but the fact is that there's two different versions of the recording; one of which incorporates an Elvis song in its lyrics and another which doesn't, and I will use both versions in the trilogy the treatment is a part of.

I'm going to have to choose two. If I could I would choose one hundred, I'm sure. I've been listening to these a lot lately, so they get to be my favorites today. Smile

ShinyLight, this thread is hurting my head. I really can't do it!

I tend to judge music by albums more than by individual songs, so it's hard to pick out one particular piece. I'm just gonna have to throw in a song from my favourite album (The Who's Quadrophenia) and another great song from an album I've been listening to a lot recently (Damien Rice's 9) which has a weird video...

Halcyon by Orbital I think may still be my favourite song ever since I first heard it it about 5 or 6 years ago.
