"The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven" admits he was lying.

Apparently, this is a true story and not something from The Onion.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2015...-pull-book

Publisher to pull the book. Malarkey - good one! Didn't see that coming.

But why kill the golden goose? Maybe books sales had dried up and now he can write a tell-all book about how he was brainwashed into being a fundy Christian and has now embraced Scientology. For the Sea Org babes of course.

Ah, here's the real reason:

Quote:Alex's parents are now divorced; he and his siblings live with his mother, Beth Malarkey, who has previously spoken out against the book (and last year, a movie) featuring her son. She has also said that profits from the book haven't been going to Alex.

Money grubbing ex-hubby ain't sharing the loot.

Gullibility is a flaw not limited to god belief, but religion certainly is gas on the fire.

Did anyone expect differently? Probably with a solid helping of money grabbing parents included.

Anyone remember that tear soaked story about the prayer girl in Columbine? It was a similar hype among christers. And on a similar line of bullshit too, since she didn't live to tell the tale.

Many in the Christian community never took this seriously, yes some did, I for one dismissed it the first time I heard about it.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I am not even surprised. And that part saying the bible is truth pfft... he is the one who lied about going to heaven.
So anything he said within that is a lie itself saying that book written by man is a lie too wow... the bible was written by man
by his own logic he should see the bible as a lie.

How could a couple divorce under those conditions ?

Their experience with their sons trip to heaven transcends belief. They KNOW.

And we all know, GOD HATES DIVORCE.

Seems like if anyone would ever go totally apeshit Literalist, it would have to be them, no ??

Also a sample rate error even if true. Believers who fawned over her bravery want to make it about her being murdered for her belief? If that were the case then why didn't they ask everyone the same thing before killing them?

No, those kids were merely disturbed who couldn't find a constructive way to get attention. She merely died for no good reason. And where was this alleged god to stop them?

Religious people are so gullible when it comes to their beliefs, and, yes, ALL of them are.

Why? He was claiming something extraordinary without any evidence, so how exactly is that different to any of the other things you believe?

Also lol at christian community.
