(and, if I'm being honest, if those things can overlay Brad Pitt's face over mine, my wife is going to be wearing them too)

And guys with guts will automatically have six packs. Hooray!

Seriously, this is pretty amazing.

Yes. I've seen too many generations of hype to go orgasmic over yet another.
Wishful thinking in tech prophecy never fills in the blanks of:

  1. It's going to be expensive especially at first when sales is shaking out the stupidest of the early adopters.
  2. It will be current at a time when the 'next big thing' is being hyped to keep the masses on their hedonic treadmill.
  3. As you say, it will never (intentionally) be bug free so that its owners want to be bled at the next generation turnover.
  4. It will be obsoleted as soon as possible to keep the dollar streams flowing.

Microsoft is exceptionally good at this.
Look how much they've made out of just moving menus around.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Isn't that how it already works? Smile
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
