Taxpayer-funded state-run media outlets: Not Bad if Republicans Do It
Because of course, it's everybody's favorite "small government" party doing it.

"At times, Just IN will break news — publishing information ahead of any other news outlet. Strategies for determining how and when to give priority to such 'exclusive' coverage remain under discussion," according to a question-and-answer sheet distributed last week to communications directors for state agencies."

In other words, it's going to be an outlet of pre-emptive spin. And tax-payers are footing the bill.

The BBC is a funded by a licence fee and has to maintain impartiality because of this.
Being freed from a Murdoch or Maxwell means that it can go its own way and must be neutral in stance.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
