welcome

"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

"A lot of people are unwilling to acknowledge anything that contradicts their worldview. So telling them that it's false doesn't necessarily slow them down. That's how urban legends get started for the most case. Like the woman who supposedly put her poodle in the microwave to dry it off. And it exploded." David Mikkelson (snopes)

OOOO You see a church out your window?! Type quietly, you wouldn't want them to know what you are up to! Wink Unless you are here to prove that God exists then you should proclaim that with a bullhorn to attract fundie women. Smile

Either way, welcome to the forums!

Welcome Arminius, to the forums.

Is it a catholic church you see from your window, or is it of a different order?

Hellow and welcome fellow skeptical free thinker! Smile

Is your religious view of a functioning church or a trendy office block?

Well thank you for the kind welcomes and just to clarify, I can see a functioning Anglican Catholic church and a Protestant St Peter and Paul hangout!

Such a shame they are nearly always empty, either would make a great heavy metal jam/rehersal space.
