As of January 15, 2015 a PEW Research poll shows that Americans are more concerned over the threat of terrorism. The economy, jobs / education take the number 2 and 3 spots.....

Nothing new, but do your homework, look at the flipping over the past 30 years. I blame voter apathy on my party's part yes. We suck at midterms. But the flipping is actually as sample rates over long periods happens. My only concern is our plutocracy giving the right too much power.

But the corporate monopoly by the GOP and gerrymandering gets their voters in the middle class and working poor to vote against their own self interests.

I think long term that will change. Younger voters are not buying into the divisive bullshit the GOP has succeeded at in the past. And dems have proven we can beat the GOP in a presidential election TWICE. Walmart is now facing the fact they are not paying workers enough, still crumbs, but that says the more the left raises their voices the better shot we have at changing things.

The GOP has succeeded for the past 30 years at controlling the narrative, the cracks are showing but it is up to the right side of history to exploit those cracks.

One thing I think is important to point out to everyone, is that the GOP is starting to mimic the pay gap issue. More right wing politicians are trying to steal the left's line about the "rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer" . That is simply a bait and switch con to justify more tax breaks for the rich the rest of us have to pay for. I am dead serious to any progressive here reading this, if you see this or hear it from a right winger or libertarian, call those fuckers out, because that is smoke and mirrors to justify corporate welfare.

They are not going to mimic the left just to con the public.

There's always been voter apathy because either of the two parties pissed off their voting base, or either party hasn't really done anything to excite enough interest to get people out to the polls. Nobody cares about Corporate Robber Barons or class warfare. That's only an issue the far far left keeps harping about. Right now, ISIS is speaking louder than the left and the threat of terrorism has captured the attention of the voters. Barack Obama is seen as weak and naive in light of this threat and that reflects on the rest of your party. You guys will lose the White House in 2016.

Um no, he was the guy who got Bin Ladin, what did Bush do? Start a ground war so Bin Ladin could see it coming. And how long did it take Bush to get him? Oh that's right HE DIDN'T.

Isis is actually doing a good job fucking itself over considering Jordan and Syria and Egypt and other Arab states are going after them.

Speaking as a representative for the rest of the world I sincerely hope not. Lately the Republican party seem to at a party of extremists.
Their views on every single point are the opposite of what the worlds need right now. Motivated by their desire to oppress the poor and weak and protect the rich.

Why anyone who isn't a millionaire would vote for these obvious corporate stooges I have no idea.

Yeah, obama's coalition of 60 nations going after ISIS, and only a pitiful handful of those nations are actually engaging that Islamic army of terrorists. Jordan is running out of ammunition and despite more than 800 coalition airstrikes ISIS has doubled the land it controls in just a few months, according to latest reports...and right now, following the beheadings of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christains, Italy is on High Alert following the threat by ISIS that they will be coming to Rome next. If those bombing raids by just the few coalition members are actually taking its toll then how is ISIS able to double the size of territory it now controls? It's because of the weak leadership by a naive and inexperienced community organizer, barack obama. Nobody gives a damn, except for a handful of you wing nuts on the far left, about corporate profits and class warfare. Right now, the biggest concern with voters is that they want to feel safe in their own country and you guys on the left fail miserably in providing that security. The democrats will lose the White House in 2016.

Quote:Revealed - how the threat of ISIS is spreading: Extremist group has DOUBLED the land it controls in just a few months despite more than 800 coalition airstrikes

ISIS has almost doubled the land it controls in Syria since the US-led coalition began airstrikes against the extremist group in the summer, a new map has revealed.

The extremist group has continued to expand its 'caliphate', despite more than 800 airstrikes hitting targets in ISIS-controlled areas since last summer.

The map, created by the Coalition for a Democratic Syria (CDS), shows just how much land has fallen to ISIS - which now has a third of the country under its control.

Before the summer, the militants controlled just half that.

Yeah, that's as uninformed and ignorant of the facts as it gets.

Look up the FBI statistics about terrorism. They're in the public domain and can be easily found. I even posted the material here, in a different thread, but can't be arsed to look them up and waste my time on someone who doesn't want to be educated. A whopping 3 percent of terrorist attacks were motivated by religion. That's counting all religions, not just Islam.

Also, ISIS, according to the most generous estimates by real experts, has about 30.000 active followers at the most.

The terrorist threat by Islamic groups is almost non existent other than in the heads of the ones making a profit out of war and the ones gobbling up their shit with a vengeance.

That's why ISIS controls large chunks of territory in both Syria and Iraq. That's why Italy is now on High Alert because of threats made by ISIS. That's why Egypt, Jordan, and the United States are engaging in bombing raids against ISIS, to little avail. That's why the threat of terrorism is now the number one concern among American voters, all the while, the committed leftist you are, going about with your head shoved up your ass and making ignorant remarks.

Quote:As views of the economy improve and terrorist threats persist, the public’s policy priorities have changed: For the first time in five years, as many Americans cite defending the U.S. against terrorism (76%) as a top policy priority as say that about strengthening the nation’s economy (75%).

That's because they're misinformed idiots that are as easily manipulated as all voters around the world. If you gobble up Fox-shit, you're scared of your own shadow. As you repeatedly prove.

And instead of looking up the actual statistics, you resort to insults. That speaks volumes about the kind of person you are. Speaking of having one's head up the ass. Your's has already reached your stomach. Be careful that your last remaining brain cells aren't digested.

I'm really very sorry that you feel you've been insulted. Perhaps this playground is too rough for you to play on. You should probably pick up your toys and go home.

Where did I reference Fox as my sources? I posted links to the Pew Research Center...
