He is also a panentheist, not to be confused with pantheist, meaning he thinks the universe is part of God but God transcends the universe.

I would love to see all Christians here argue over what God is and over dogma. That would be as fun as watching Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Jewish, and apologists from other religions all having a battle royale.

I hate to poop on your parade, but if we all turn to the bible God defines Himself there.

In that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end to all things.

If God want to have the universe as part of his being then He most certainly can. If He does not and it is just another point of creation then that is what it is.

The point being I do not know that any of the theists here will argue the sovernity of God.. And that's what God's description describes... His supreme sovernity.

Now that does not mean we can't squabble over how we think that sovernity plays out, but bottom line God is not defined nor limited to any description or attribute we place on Him. He is who/what ever He wants to be period.

It seems that the only real qualification is to have a broken bullshit detector.

If you have a working one in heaven you can call out god for being a evil fuck and then get thrown out.

I've seen one caser where two xtians agreed to the point of being almost interchangeable. Both converts to some form of American Baptist church with strong Calvinist overtones. Not something I'm in a hurry to see a repeat of...

Because the attributes that define Ganesh limit Ganesh to just being Ganish.
God has no such limits. If God were Genesh He would cease to be the Alpha and Omega.

Except that Hindus have made the claim that Ganesh is simply one aspect of the "god-head" which would negate your idea of limitation.

RE: Christians Unite
God does have a limitation. He admits it in his own book.

Judges 1:19, King James

Quote:And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

Whoops! Even omnipotent gods have their kleenex. I mean kryptonite.

That isn't a description of what he is and trying to claim otherwise is bullshit.

Should we also reference the "I am what I am" bullshit and accept that as a valid description?!? Sounds more like Popeye than an infinite, all powerful being.

It sounds like Popeye because you Added "what I am." To God's "I am." Your addition makes it a Popeye quote.

To which if you are not familiar with the term alpha and omega and all that it means. Then I think you have made the 'wise' choice to mock what you don't underastand rather than to seek enlightment or knoweledge on the subject. That way you hold true to your simeon roots, thus undergirding your position of orgins without actually speaking of it.
