Oh, and I don't care for racist jokes myself, generally. Although a girlfriend of mine, a Jew, once tore me up with one about how many Jews you could fit into a Volkswagen -- "four, and another six million in the ashtray". But that's one's not so much racist as it is just plain tasteless.

From my experience, less smart people justify racism for no reason, and smart people justify it because the statistics say one race is worse (i.e. Asians have more IQ, blacks have less, etc.)

The mark of a person who has truly overcome racism is the ability to laugh at old stere0types.
The prince of a small kingdom had to select his bodyguard from a Knight Templar, a Samuri, and a Temple Guard. He decided to test the swordmanship of each. The Knight Temple swang at a flying bumble be and cut it in half. The prince was impressed. The Samuri swung at a fly and cut it into thirds. The prince was even more impressed. But when the Temple Guard swang at a gnat and the gnat flew away. The others laughed and the prince said to the Temple Guard, "You appear to have missed." The Temple Guard smiled and said, "Circumcision does not kill."
(BTW my wife is part Jewish)
