I see, thanks.

Would the distress still be there, do you think, in a hypothetical society where paedophilia was considered normal and acting upon it entirely acceptable?

That's a really good way of putting it, Rob, and exactly what I was trying to get at.

On the psychiatric disorder topic: I remember when making it to that list was sort of a "home base" (like playing tag) for things otherwise viewed as social abnormalities, free to be ridiculed; kind of how alcoholism made the leap from people being viewed as irresponsible outcasts to people afflicted with a disease. Genetics and psychiatric disorders are both blameless, but I guess it's the stigma being argued here, as well as accuracy.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Hmm. It's a valid question and an interesting one, too. Because of how much I know about psychiatry (jack shit) my answer is just a guess and it's as good as yours. I think it would probably still be there, maybe just not as strong.

I get your point, though. It must be extremely hard to live in a society that views you as a monster even when you haven't done anything.

Yo soy muy malo en lancar, pero yo soy muy bueno en comer friholes. Come los "bean bay" friholes, los friholes de los reyes.

People writing composite nouns separated by spaces in German as one would do in English. Few things piss me off more about language than that, and it is on the rise.
