This guy has come to the same conclusion I have come too.  He made a very good video explaining our common position.






The Baxter robot cost $27000.  It won't be long before it cost $9000 and is 3xs more productive.

I just thought it was hilarious that you would use these kind of utopian/dystopian prophecies as concrete career advice for a high school senior.

She's going to have an awesome life regardless of her major.  Its going to be pretty hard to fuck this up.

What do you mean by that? I mean, if you decide to go to college, you kinda have to choose a major and then do the work... being noncommittal doesn't really cut it.

I am not suggesting being "non-committal", rather I am suggesting he seek advice from an actual counsellor who would have much more info about him than we do. Pursuing something as career just because it feels good as a hobby might not be a good idea if the only decisive factor is the hobby part.
