Heywood, I would suggest as others have done, that you exercise some self control, responsibility and maturity and just log out. If you feel that you don't possess any of those three things...maybe just staying away from electronics all together would be ideal. Asking for a temp ban is like saying you need a caretaker to look after you because you're too lazy to care for yourself.

jus' sayin'.

I guess he will show whether "self deportation" works.

Oddly, I am in a position to know such things and it's not at all obvious to me.

This is not that forum.  Perhaps that forum would be a better venue for you?

Your feelings in that matter are irrelevant.

I am not an idiot and she knows it. She doesn't like my views so she chooses to demonize me.  That pissed me off an in the heat of anger, I respond in kind.  Next time I log on, my warning level is increased.  Would have been nice to have gotten a PM as to why but I am pretty sure it was that exchange.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't that exchange and that the fact you didn't get a PM was an oversight on the part of the mod who bumped your warning level.

Ultimately, your warning level was bumped because you continue to insist on reporting things that are not against the rules, after it's been explained to you what it takes to rise to the level of actionable flaming and trolling.

We'd like you to stop.  So stop.

Perhaps if you took the time to actually listen to the staff and not create a bunch of extra unnecessary work for us, we'd have less issue with you.  It's especially annoying when you report someone for flaming or what have you, when you're taking shots back.  Mote.  Eye.  Plank.

Personally, I can't see that anyone has any great desire to be rid of you.  Frankly, if we were half as biased as you seem to think we are, if we had a quarter of the desire to be done with you as you seem to think, you'd have been gone a long time ago.

We aren't here to intervene every time someone is a mean poopy head to you or anyone else.  So stop mashing the Report Post button whenever you're got a case of butthurt.

Wouldn't it be simpler to stop acting in the way that you think might get you banned? Or does that not tickle your martyr chip?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Whilst we *could* ban you for a while... it is far easier for you to just don't come here!

While unlikely to get a response from the OP I'd like to point out that:

1) He called me a liar, and in a context in which lying has nothing to do with anything. I wasn't lying.

2) Idiocy is a subjective measure and I can't possibly know that he's not an idiot when he continues to display behavior and opinions which suggest to me that he actually is one.

3) I didn't report him, for the record, despite our banter, because I give as good as I get.

4) If lots of forums have this attitude towards Heywood, I would start looking at the common denominator.

Yeah, despite Heywood's dramatics, all this really is, is that I didn't check an option I was supposed to during the process of increasing his warning. This all got spun out of the fact that I was tired this morning.

Oh, and all this is in green so's Heywood will actually read it, too. Rolleyes

Let's do this like an auction.  Give him 2 months...do I hear 3?

He could have simply PM'd a mod and asked for an explanation.
