Prayer to the God of Atheism

Prayer to the God of Atheism
The Lord is my arrow.

I shall not miss.
He maketh me to stand up and take notice.
He restoreth my good sense;
He leadeth me in the path of knowledge for its own sake.

Yeah though I walk through the valley of Christendom
I shall not fear for truth is with me.
My mind and my brain, they teach me.
They prepareth logic for me in the presence of mine enemies
When their stupidity runneth over.
Surely, reason and intelligence shall follow me
All the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of emotional freedom forever.
Amen
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

Yeah, it's never good to say anything by rote. The critical mind should be always engaged.

That doesn't sound like a Charles Darwin specific prayer at all. It's good to specify.

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

Add a bit about Jesus butthole and elephant trunk trumpeting and I'll support the prayer.

I'll speak it, but only if it's divine.
Until then, it's just self indoctrinating.
And that can only lead to bad things.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

RE: Prayer to the God of Atheism
Even when I was young, I hated saying the Pledge of Allegiance. I even hated saying or receiving, He's a jolly good fellow. It's because reciting something by rote is robotic - even if you agree with the sentiment. Compelling a human being to act like a robot is disrespectful. We all have our own minds. We are all perfectly capable of speaking with our own voices. We should never be compelled to speak someone else's words - even if we agree with them - like a robot.
