Religious people - Which music is pure?

Christian rock is pure. Pure shit, that is.

Yes.  If it is any good at all, it is just called "rock."  U2 has some Christian lyrics, and they are just a rock band.  Bands that suck advertise themselves as "Christian rock," as otherwise no one would buy their worthless recordings.

And not a single theist answered.

But I guess, the Cocksucker Blues by the Stones wouldn't be on the list.

He was normally quite sane.
And angry.

He sounds sane with a side of crazy. Tongue JK

I remember looking up christian metalcore bands years ago, because I didn’t want the music to have anything denigrating god or christianity (not that I could understand the lyrics anyway), but now, if the music does just that, it’s a bonus.

If Christian Metalcore bands aren't magically better on average than metalcore bands in general, they are an insult to God despite the lyrics.

I've always enjoyed Billy Connolly's bit on Christian rock:

Any band or group that pigeon holes themselves into writing about one topic is bound to be fucking horrible.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

The best night of my life (sadly) was when I heard "welcome to the jungle" by Guns N Roses.

I was in the Navy and very home sick.  A guy on the ship invited me to his church.  Long story short, it was a strict baptist cult.  We could only listen to music with out drums or electric guitars.

One night I was invited to stay at the house of a dude who liked to hang out with young sailors *cough cough*.  It freaked me out so instead I got a hotel room across from a strip bar and proceeded to get drunk.  The prettiest girl came out and danced to "welcome to the jungle" and at that point I realized, I was not fit for a baptist cult.

I'd say anything but natural Pythagorean temperament, which uses the simple rational frequency ratios, is by definition unnatural. So I'd argue that any music in meantone, Werckmeister or equal temperament is obviously against nature, and by extension, against God. I think this means that almost all music of the past 400 years is an abomination. Sorry guys. If you own a natural trumpet, feel free to play it though.
