Who ever said the internet was strickly good? Really makes no sense at all. Everything imaginable is on the internet. So how could it all be good or bad. I think you misconstrued what I have said. Pity parties aren't really my thing. That exhibits weakness. In no way am I weak. I have been known to myself to shed tears of joy however. These are quite th anniversary opposite of pitiful or weak though, and actually are quite exhilarating.

I have either been duped into seeing or have voluntarily googled through my own stupidity all of the above. And so, so many more over the years...
To give you an idea of what effect the internet has had on me, I went from being unable to watch even moderate violence in films to barely flinching when I see the most unspeakable violent acts being carried out, all in the space of about 2 years. So all of this debauchery and sin concentrated in one place, yet the worst things that've happened to the internet is the dot com bubble and Friday by Rebecca Black. If that's divine retribution, I have to say I'm underwhelmed.
