It was all fine until this. I was going to give you kudos and literally welcome you into my heart. I won't know. This made me cringe it was so bad. There's definitely something very wrong with your attitude. I just can't put my finger on it.

Esquilax, I charge you with the same.

This looks like opression. I can't stand silently by it, no matter where I'm witnessing it.

Oh well, what do I know about fairness?

But that's just my two cents.Hope I didn't make yet another couple of enemies.

Remember that staff are members as well, and are allowed to speak as such. The rules are incredibly lenient here, I can attest to that. There are some people here who I really can't believe haven't been banned. In my opinion, all decisions have been just. This kind of constant whining about staff action on the open forum by the likes of Chad is against the rules itself, and he knows this, but he does it anyway. Some people feel the need to push the boundaries to see when they'll get smacked.

I'm not being drawn into a conversation about this with someone who only joined the other day and has no experience about how we as staff make decisions, let alone about how previous users who have been subject to staff action have been 'treated'. If you've got a formal complaint make it through the appropriate channels. I read between the lines here and get the impression you are saying things for the sake of saying things, but needless to say, no user has been mistreated in the above.

It still seems like oppression to me nonetheless. I would rather the staff issued unambiguous warnings than act like the Gestapo.

It's almost like you fucking want to by giving your 2 Zimbabwean cents on shit that doesn't concern you. By christ shut the fuck up for once. The reasons for previous members being banned literally has nothing to do with you nor were you there when they were banned, so you have no clue what you're even talking about.

Out of all the people on this forum, I suspect your opinion is the one we collectively value the least, yet you give it like everyone values it the most. Your ego, ignorance and condescension are literally intolerable.

What would those appropriate channels be? Complaining to you in private? I think not. Nowhere in the rules does it say I am not allowed to point out bigotry and oppression where I see it, regardless of my rank as a member of the forum.

If you guys can exploit your powers publicly, so can I criticize it in the same manner.
If you have a problem with that, go ahead and ban me. Otherwise, I don't really give a shit.

I never said anything about how you as a staff make decisions, nor have I said anything about how previous users have been treated. Pay attention to what I actually said.

Again, I put it to you that you are unfamiliar with how we treat members who are subject to staff action, as evidenced by the above. We have a multitude of tools that we use prior to issuing a temporary ban let alone a permanent one.

Im really not sure what you're trying to achieve here.

Ok, so you want to complain for the sake of complaining. Got it.

Something wrong with her attitude?  Really?  Vague comments about attitude are rude and insinuate all sorts of things they don't say.  They are also what parents, teachers, and cops say when they want to punish someone, but can't come up with a good reason to do it.

CL's started a number of productive threads, and she's a useful addition.  And I watched her early threads, most of which were taken to be offensive in a way that they were not intended.  We're used to offensive theist threads, and it takes us a while to trust a new theist's intentions.   Welcome again CL, I'm glad you joined the forum.

Coming in here with the title of "Catholic" immediately makes people suspicious because most theists who come here come in hopes of converting others. I had to prove to/show people that that's not why I was here. Once people figured this out, I was welcomed with open arms.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
