Maybe I'm just overlooking it in the CP, but is there an option to receive alerts via email about thread replies, etc?

Yes, look for a link at the bottom of the post display "Subscribe to this thread".

You can also subscribe to subforums to get notifications when new threads are created.

I had to turn email notifications off temporarily as they were causing no end of problems. Last night I got so many reject emails from Outlook domains that I had to delete all forum subscriptions (I kept a backup). Will try to fix it later.

Ok gotcha. I had seen the option to subscribe, but there was no email notification option. Thanks for the help!
