Quote:The idea that illegal immigration will be stopped by better border control is a myth.

Oh I don't know,I think some more aggressive policing might do the trick

EG Mine the border.Set up automatic machine gun nests at strategic points.( activated by movement and/or infra red) helicopter gunship patrols.-- and of course shoot any illegals who are actually caught. I think that combination would be to drastically reduce illegal immigration from Mexico and further South. Devil

As an outsider: The US does not have an illegal immigration problem. It DOES have over 20 million illegals. Miiliions are mercilessly exploited by Americans. The majority actually pay taxes, yet are not entitled to the same benefits of other tax payers. Without low paid and exploited illegals, some US industries would collapse.

The problem is not being properly addressed because there are too many vested interests on BOTH sides of the border making vast sums of money.

Were I an ordinary Merkin, I would be livid.

Sorry I'm late this morning. I was arranging with my landscaper to come on Thursday and his English is a bit weak.

I hope he makes it through the blockade. My trees need trimming. Everything grows so damn fast out here.

You lucky bastard. Australia is an island, so not enough refugees get through for us to exploit in any worthwhile way. Our government bungs them in concentration camps off shore (really) Until recently they were charged a token amount for board and lodging (only about $150 per person per week) Family of 4, over 3 years, tended to add up a bit. Fair enough too; the government pays the guards $100K a year.

If I want any work done,I use an organisation called 'The Grey Army'. Retired people who work for about 2/3 the standard rate (cash)

PS : We did however have a time honoured tradition of the defacto enslavement of indigenous people whom we also hunted for sport until the early 1920's. (really)

The legal language in the US law for a person who unlawfully enters the US or overstays their visa is illegal alien.

Undocumented workers is a political term or slogan crafted by, illegal aliens and amnesty supporting groups.

Illegal aliens are not undocumented, they have plenty of documents because most engage in document fraud and identity theft to conduct this crime in America.

The term illegal aliens is not meant in a dehumanizing way. The definition and use of the word "illegal" is completely appropriate, since it is illegal for a person to enter or remain in the US without permission, and it is illegal for them to hold a job. Webster's dictionary defines the word alien as "belonging or relating to another person, place, or thing" and "relating, belonging, or owing allegiance to another country or government".

Illegal alien and amnesty supporters politically oppose the term "illegal alien" because they think the American public will respond more positively to "undocumented worker".

Illegal immigration sympathisers feel that the term "undocumented workers" sounds more friendly and less destructive than illegal alien.

America is a nation of laws and the Rule of Law means that everyone receives justice regardless of status. For illegal aliens to receive justice by American standards, they are required to be repatriated to their home nations or return on their own accord.

Yeah, and if you are white, rich and speak English you get better justice. Just look at those Goldman Sachs pricks. How many of those scumbags are in jail?

They made it through the blockade. Although it occurs to me that I gave them an old rug we weren't using any more and the cops will probably see that and call it "probable cause" to stop and hassle them.
My guess is the cops will assume they robbed a house!

Now I'll have to wait until next month to see if they made it.
