I think it's all bs to be honest. Just watch this.
That dude could not be more dead.
I guess acupuncture is used in "pressure points." Yes I'm aware there are some pressure points but I'm talking about the charts that show hundreds of acupuncture points that supposedly when touched by needles cure all kinds of ailments.
I feel like westerners aren't critical enough of eastern pseudoscience since it's seen as exotic.
Yeah, I know meditation is meant to clear your head but I don't think you'll become more enlightened by sitting in a room full of candles chanting om over and over again.

If they hadn't nailed him down he would have gone VOOM?

In my country there's an institution solely dedicated to researching alternative medicine and now there's degrees for it, even though there's been controversy because official med-schools refuse to legally accept those degrees as "real" degrees. I even have a known person (not really a friend, just someone I talk to sometimes) who is finishing one of those degrees. I've experienced the whole osteopathy massage and it helped my back pain, at least temporarily, but I don't think it goes much further than that. Some traditional home remedies do work, but many are approved and recommended by doctors instead of just spending money on pills.
I'm afraid to just tell people it's BS because I'm not a specialist, but my colleagues in medschool get the job done better than I do.
