This is about the planet, not about humanity. I'm not sure you're able to blow the planet up.

On the link that's in the OP one of the things listed on the site is 'Boom' which goes on to talk about Nuclear Winter, which is what I was referring to.

Obviously, neither the site, nor I mean literally blowing up the whole thing, but Nuclear Winter would end life as we know it. I'm struggling to see why that's such a hard concept to grasp, but I've observed you like to be a dick to people on here, so I'm not going to fret.

I can see you were mislead by the OP's link. The title question though asks you about the planet's destruction, not about the fate of life on earth. There's an enormous difference. The planet would survive without life on it - That's how it was its first billion years anyway.
