No problem. Smile
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I'm also glad. We may have had more participation if outing yourself as an addict (current or former) did not have so much negative stigma associated with it.

The thing is, by replacing real, face-to-face relationships with superficial interactions on the internet, we're causing real changes to our brains chemically.  What's worse is children with developing brains are going to grow up with these superficial interactions, and that is going to mean than their adult brains are going to have developed with lower neurotransmitter levels during the key periods of brain development.  That's sure to make a serious difference in the level mental disorders we're going to see when today's children are grown up.

Adding to this particular problem are the overprotective parents that are keeping may playgrounds empty most of the day. The kids can only come out and actually interact with other kids on the odd evening that their lazy, overprotective and quite frankly frightened parent can be bothered to take them. We live at a time where bodily violence is at an all time low but most parents are fucking convinced that if they let little Johnny out of their sight for more than 30 seconds that they're going to wind up crying for the camera on the six o'clock news over their missing or murdered kid.

Any of the locals here find me talking to them on  the topic, they'd better the hell view that as a VERY bad sign indeed.

I've done it a few times . . .
