When it's about money, skepticism is more than warranted. Especially in times like this, where you can hide behind any given persona on social media. It's an easy way to rip off unsuspecting people.

@abaris : Thanks for the info. I know it was shitty to make this my second post but right or wrong I like this kid. Through various friends on Facebook and Ahmed's posts I've thought about Atheism more. Joining the forum was two fold. I've grown tired of the intrusion of faith into government and I am seeking to explore other beliefs. If, in time, I can help Ahmed then even better. I'll show proper respect in doing all of the above.

I would try indiegogo or gofundme or kickstarter.

YouTube, vine, Twitter, instagram with pics, stories, videos, cross-promoting on each platform. If you do it right, you can snag a bit of popularity.

@SteelCurtain : Right now friends have already set up a Gofundme page and many of us on Facebook have chipped in. I think what I am going to do is ask Ahmed to share his story as an Atheist living in such a place and then share it here. I think it has great value not only in regards to the brutality of religious extremism firsthand but the pinpoints of light freethinking and logic create when they poke through such horrible darkness. If he is willing to share his experience and the 30/30 rule criteria is met we'll see where we are at. If he isn't willing to share his experience then I have nothing to offer as credence and will not pursue things any further. Thanks for your input. Smile
