My wife's sponsored hike

RE: My wife's sponsored hike
Great news Rob. Glad your back.

How many total participated?

Re. donating. Sorry bro, got my own to support across the pond. Ours gets no state or county funding and is totally dependent of community support.

Brewer: Thank you Smile Just my wife and her friend, along with our dog and her friend's dog! Not to worry, I'm not expecting anyone to donate, just mentioned it here in case. Good for you for supporting your local charitities. Ours get no government support either, even though the government pretty much relies on many of them as an emergency service.

Vic: Cheers my friend! Great to be back Smile I had a lovely time in Eastbourne! I wish I could have gone on the hike with them, but I'm glad I could help by being the support monkey.

Hi Alex! I hope you haven't collapsed the universe while I've been gone? Tongue

A big thanks to Tiberius for adding a banner about this fundraising!

Thanks everyone for the lovely support! Here are some pictures from the weekend. My wife is shy and doesn't like giving away too much evidence of her existence, but these are the ones she's happy for me to put up so far:

A beautiful sunrise from our window:

Pictures of scenery along the hike:

Our doggy Opal actual feeling a bit tired for once!

Me getting some much needed rest after not being able to go on the hike. I did other stuff to help!

Beautiful pictures.  Makes me want to go back to England.

RE: My wife's sponsored hike
Thank you both very much Smile Yes my wife has an obsession with taking pictures of me in bed! To be fair, I spend so long having to lie down she doesn't have much choice.

You're welcome Smile I'll try and see if my wife is OK with sharing any more pictures. That sunrise was so lucky, I looked out the window at just the right time and happened to spot it. It blew our mind! I don't think I've ever seen one like that before.

I'm so proud of my wife and her friend (and the dogs!) for raising so much money!

They are raising money for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. I'll be driving the support vehicle (I wish I was able to do the hike with them) so I'll be away from the forum this weekend.

In case anyone wanted to donate anything, even a small amount, here is the link to the Virgin Just Giving page. It has more information about the hike too. There's no pressure, I won't be offended if no one does. It just occurred to me I could mention it here in case! The fundraising stays open on that page for a few months after the event as well.

Thank you my lovely friends Smile

Is a battersea dog and cat kinda like a Chinese corn dog from maybe a coastal region of China?
