Not that I have any idea what it means or whether is good or not.

Similar to mine, but without the upload speed that will ***(ALLOW ME TO HOST MY OWN SERVER!!! YAY!!!)*** *cough* allow me to take over the world. Of course.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

194.5Mbit - sounds right. With dial up 56kbps was the maximum data rate. It wasn't 56/56kbps it was 56 in total. Maximum - most people didn't get the full speed.

So why is my cellphone internet so much faster than my "high speed" internet service?

What it means is that I'll be walking around for a day or two going, "Bueller. Bueller. Bueller." Sad

RE: Internet speed, 2015
Got a new faster connection. My ISP said it would take 16 hours at the latest for my connection to start working after the modem and router was switched on...

25 fucking hours and 20 fucking minutes later it finally starts working. 9 hours 20 minutes longer than the maximum amount of time it was supposed to take? What the fuck? 16 hours was the maximum they said it would take and they said it might have started working as early as 2 hours after being switched on! WTF

* Edwardo Piet rants and rants and rants some more about is connection taking 9 hours and 20 minutes longer than the maximum it was supposed to fucking take to work

My upload speed is terrible.

Okay, to compare here is the new result:

Quite an improvement! From F+ grade to B+ grade!

Yay! If only it didn't take a fucking eternity to start working.

Free Wi-Fi in a very modest Mexican restaurant - 42ms ping, 8 Mbs down, .8 Mbs up to the nearest server in Acapulco (a few hundred km away).

Sadly, as bad as the above was, the internet at the hotel sucks year-old bong water.

I can get true gigabit internet in Korea, but it's a lot extra (triple my current, which is about half Gb/s).  But I'm half tempted to do it just so I can post my speeds in this thread for all you bitches.

Am I too shallow a person? Tongue
