We're paying I think $30/month for it. Granted it's better than what we were getting for $30/month at .4 mbps. With the same company!

Seriously, though, I'm in Korea so I download a lot of TV shows. If I start about 10 downloading, usually half will be done in about 1 or 2 mins, and while I watch one of them, the others will finish. It's also convenient for work: I can backup all my files (like 50 GB worth) at work, and by the time I get home, they are available for download there.

That's a lot more than I pay, but if/when I finally go back to Canada, I'd be happy to pay that amount for that speed.  Seeing some of the connection speeds on this thread makes me wonder if I even WANT to go back to the backwoods hick countries called Canada or the US. Big Grin

(btw for what you posted, we can get corporate service, which is true Gigabit internet-- basically you can d-load as fast as your hard-drive can record it)

Not always necessary, I don't download films or shows. Anything I download is small enough to be downloaded fast enough on a 5 MB connection.

You may have a 100 times faster connection, but I don't do anything that requires that power. I'm more of a browser.

Yeah that's kind of how I feel about cell phones.  I do NOT need my cell phone to show me the location of other Booble users, or to recommend sponsored businesses within 100 yards of my current location.  I need it to fucking make phone calls.  I do like being able to take pictures, though.
