16, but it's OK. I already know everything.

Only everything? Just what do they teach you in those schools? Angel
Here is my full answer to your problem:

Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

I'll let you know after I unwrap it. Wink Shades

Well it took a while for me to finally start playing. It was on my desk for a few days but with the work and website building I just didn't get around to playing it.

First off, major kudos for the designers of the playing field, they have put a lot of effort into it. The details are stunning, the scenery never gets boring, it is breathtakingly gorgeous.

As for the gameplay itself. I am not overly impressed. It plays a little bit better than GTA4, but the control feels a bit clunky and the way the character moves is not very realistic. The method of switching between weapons takes some getting used to, but that doesn't take too long.

The story mode is okay, nothing really surprising, just enough to keep it interesting. The real strength of this game lies in the mini missions scattered across the playing field.

What I do like is the fame and honor bar, where you get either famous or infamous, good or bad. Are you honorable, then the lawmen and townspeople reward you for it, and outlaws try to kill you. Are you notorious, then the lawmen are always on your tail trying to kill you, and townspeople fear you, but you get refuge and help from the outlaws. So it is basically up to you whether you want to be good or bad.

Some stuff is very easy to do, even a bit too easy for my liking (like breaking in untamed horses), and others are very hard to pretty near impossible. But all in all it is pretty well balanced.

I don't understand the health bar, at one point I seem fine and the next I'm dead. There is hardly any indication that I need to get my health up until it is almost too late or just plain too late.

Is it a bad game? No. as far as sandbox games go, this one is pretty good. But I don't think it is as good as "The Saboteur" though. The production quality is much better than TS, but RDR for all it's eye candy could not impress me much in terms of game play. I still have to try multiplayer, perhaps that is where the "redemption" comes for this game.
Best regards,
Leo van Miert
