Would you mind?

RE: Would you mind?
So, I see a few red flags with that statement, Brian. I'm familiar with one of Brian Sapient's sites (rationalresponders), and unless the site is a *lot* busier than the forum activity seems to indicate, $200/mo for DDOS protection would be an enormous waste of money because the free Cloudflare service would almost certainly suffice.

His unwillingness to divulge details regarding what he intends to do with the money and what sites he is talking about informs me to be skeptical of his request.

Exactly. Transparency is key.

Fine with me if you are, I'm not getting a dime for helping him. He's had a long history and has been supported by key people in the atheist community. It is also why I asked first to post it. I still have not posted the actual link as no admin has yet to say yes. I'd say its a no considering how long this post has been up. That's what you get to do when you run a website. No argument from me and Brian being a website owner himself understands.

First, I guess nobody suspected you to get something out of it. Secondly, I can only repeat what I'm always saying. There is no such thing as an atheist community. There are only people not believing. Otherwise I may feel affiliated to atheists as well as christians, muslims or any other people sharing my views. What makes me isn't atheism, but a set of values. And they seldomly, if at all, are exclusive to atheism.

On a completely unrelated note, thanks for the correction. I should not say "atheist community". We certainly are individuals and no, the ability to do good deeds isn't a patent owned by one label, but a product of our species evolution.
