Christianity must Implode

RE: Christianity must Implode
what would honestly cause christianity to implode is just taking a critical look at the the bible and learn the history of christianity i think the survival of christianity is a result of the doctrine of faith without question .

Boru

1. Gay Marriage is Bad, but so is Divorce.
2. The New Testament tells you to do the exact opposite thing to a fool as exactly a verse before it.

According to the bible, two people of the same sex cannot be married, so they also cannot divorce because they weren't married in the first place.

I believed in christianity most of my life because I was raised to believe in it. My doubts started a couple of years ago. I joined this forum to test the strength and validity of my faith. I wanted to face it all. For a year or so I was reeling. I was full of doubts, but couldn't accept any other position as well. Finally when I was ready to toss the whole faith thing, I went to God and let him know what was going on and blamed him for not giving me any surety. The next morning I woke up a firm believer and full of enthusiasm. I believe now because God planted in me.

The bible isn't specific on marriage it is vague. Point to a chapter and verse were it says two men or two woman cannot marry.
The bible is  more harsh on divorce than it is with two guys hooking up.

Quote:1. Gay Marriage is Bad, but so is Divorce.

But some same sex marriages have already ended in divorce and Christianity hasn't imploded.

Quote:2. The New Testament tells you to do the exact opposite thing to a fool as exactly a verse before it.

Umm...what?

The Bible's idea of marriage is for you to marry God (or Jesus).

Well, ok, but that prick better call when he's running late, or he'll find his clothes on the lawn.

Christianity would implode if an intense gravitational pull appeared in the center of it.
