I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

The scientific name is Theraphosa Blondi. It's a member of the Goliath Birdeater families. There's also the Theraphosa Stirmi, a bit smaller and called the Burgundy Goliath. Both are classified as aggressive species not recommended for beginners. There's no recorded cases of lethal bites tough - Goliath Birdeaters are new world tarantulas, meaning they rely heavily on urticating hairs to defend themselves and their venom is not that bad even if it feels terrible after being bitten - On the other hand, old world tarantulas, primarily from Asia and Africa, may have less hair but will have a much worse venom. South American tarantulas will look scary but they certainly can't kill you unless you have an allergy or something.
