I had the wind Evel Kinevel,

No, I had that too. This was the same concept  but not Evil Kinevel . You pulled the zipper through the motor to conduct energy, but once released it simply went in the direction it left. I think the concept was to get many kids to buy this smash up car and compete against each other. Evil Kinevel was a solo toy with the sam "zip" motor concept.

Just did, no that was not it. The toy I am am thinking of was has no big open gear wheel. It was more like a standard 2 door or 4 door highway legal car.
