I was hoping it would be about the gay Borg guy from Star Trek

RE: Drones
Are we talking about drones or quadcopters?

If it's the latter, I guess I could make one for myself, I already have most of the parts lying around anyway. But I don't find them that interesting...

RE: Drones
If you wish to fly your drone (less than 55 pounds mass) in the US for recreational purposes, not business which would require a part 333 exemption,
this is covered by an FAA letter of interpretation:
https://www.faa.gov/uas/media/model_airc...c_rule.pdf
Which states in part:

Quote:Finally, the statute sets a requirement for  model aircraft operating within 5 miles
of an airport to notify the airport operator and control tower, where applicable, prior to
operating.
If the model aircraft operator provides notice of forthcoming operations
which are  then  not authorized  by air traffic or objected to by  the airport operator , the
FAA expects  the model aircraft operator  will not conduct the proposed flights.

Per our local airport manager:
1) you may not fly legally within 5 miles of his airport without his permission (covers essentially our whole city.)
2) you will not, for insurance and liability reasons, EVER receive his permission.

Prosecution is at the whim of the regulators.

My interpretation:
Try and find a place more than 5 miles from any airport or, fly illegally and hope to never be prosecuted or forget it.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh
