That's why we don't rely on personal experience to derive conclusions, but on facts. You should know that, as a scientist. I shouldn't be the one to dispel myths you hold about this thing. Bring me some solid data as to how women are treated worse than men and then we'll talk about it. Until then, you're merely asking for some sort of pity.

I am asking for pity? Whut? Where did I claim women are treated worse than men? Did you read anything that I wrote at all?
I don't need this shit, believe me. If you're going to be like that, go right ahead. Leave me out of it. Just don't repeat lies, that's all.

I am honestly confused. What did I lie about?
If The Flintstones have taught us anything, it's that pelicans can be used to mix cement.

My fiancé is a microbiologist. She's been interested in science her entire life. The labs she's worked in have been majority women (both at good institutions here in the UK).

There is a positive discrimination policy here called Athena Swan which initially was to encourage women into STEM subjects but is now more of an 'increasing participation' thing for people who are under represented. I think it's counter productive and ultimately fails to address why some demographics do not go into STEM. But now UK HE Institutions who do not adhere to Athena Swann suffer direct and indirect penalties to funding streams. Kind of defeats the point of it IMHO.
