Seems pretty tame, right? No one is being attacked, no one’s religion is mocked in any way. Just a simple message for a subset of people in Alabama who probably feel a little outnumbered.
Unfortunately, the billboard prompted a slew of complaints from the Christian community around Mobile.  Lamar, the advertising company leasing the sign, only honored two weeks of the four week contract due to the negative response from the community.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

You're right but it's an old news. I must be still drunk from new year's or something. I got to rest for some time...

Since they've figured out they can't get away with bullying through legislatures and the courts, consumer pressure and threats of boycotts against private firms will be the way they try to impose themselves on everyone else going forward.

The poor persecuted pussies.

Yeah, I've heard this before. It's not surprising from a religion that calls people heretics for compromising anything.
Poe's Law: "Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing."

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.
