Offends me? I'm obviously new here and don't know what you've done to make everyone dislike you or whatever, but if it's the fact you were being "mean" to religious types then you have my respect.

Well, not exactly to religious types. More like to idiots, no matter their religiosity or lack thereof. I'm only mean to someone if I think they're going to be able to take it and it will somehow possibly help them, though. I'm never mean to people if I think it will go over their heads, which happens half of the time I feel the need to offend them actually - those are the times I'm more or less nice to them.


You would do well to notice the double standard you inadvertently pointed out, though, and learn from that. Atheists can be just as wrong as theists, and they can be just as blind to reason as them. Some have even conceded that this is true, and I respect them for it. Ultimately, I think, mixing emotions with your reasoning is a really bad idea, and the sole cause of much faulty reasoning and hate.
