I even remember when playing a videotape, if it was 'flagging', you could mess with the horizontal hold knob and either fix it or greatly reduce the problem.

I must have spent hours with both H and V trying to unscramble, get a somewhat watchable image of scrambled porn. I could get about half a picture with a big line running from top right to bottom left. A free hand was often difficult.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.
