But atheism must work just like a religion you guys!

We have to have someone telling us what to think! How else could things work? Think for ourselves? Hah!

I've never read a single Dawkins book. I've seen him in a few videos, that's about it. Just like everyone else, I see if he has anything useful to say. If so, I consider it and whether it impacts my beliefs. The parts I don't consider worthwhile, I discard.

There's no need to just accept everything someone says, or else reject them entirely. That's the dogmatic religious mindset at work. Prominent atheists can be good at putting forward some of the popular arguments, and breaking misconceptions about atheism in general, but that's about it. If you think they are in any way "leaders", or have some actual power over all atheists, you're living in a fantasy world.
