Just before what was to be called the AIDS crisis erupted I participated in a blood drive. ('80 or maybe '81)

It was held at a Unitarian church basement and was heavily promoted at local gay bars, and other 'gay' venues like bookstores and such.


I've kept my donor card all these years (and never donated again) and until the HIV test came out and I took it ('87) I wondered how many people I had killed.

Probably will never know for sure, but I strongly suspect an acquaintance of mine died from the AIDS related pneumonia in 1977 . . . . .
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I don't have the first clue about what kind of evolutionary advantage having different blood types imparts on an animal, but I know that different animals have different blood types - in other words, animals don't just have the ABO system for their own blood.
