To you, some of us actually learn things about technology over the years.

Innit funny how in the last 20-25 years, 'technology' has come to be synonymous with 'computing'?

Some of us have managed to know a great deal about technology while at the same time knowing bugger all about computers. So, Brian, take your arrogant, condescending attitude, fold it til it's nothing but corners, and shove it in your oubliette.

I was trying to be nice. I have no idea what those things even mean or whether the OP got a good deal or not.

I'd argue price before I'd argue the technology. I used to be scared of computers myself. But just like learning anything, like car parts, it really is not that different than learning new words when you were growing up. Now I am absolutely no expert on anything in life. But the more I look at words, trust me, any word that seems lofty or technical, really can be broken down into laypersons terms. No that does not make one an expert but it can give you a layperson's visual.

Most of what you see in that list is really no different than the name of the part and the model number of each part. The good thing is if you don't know what those things are, highlight them, do a google search of them, that will tell you what the part looks like and what it does.

Just like you don't have to build a car from scratch yourself, but you can learn what the parts look like, and upon occasion change the oil, air filter or brake fluid.

Back in my late teens when security was not a big deal, in the early days of Windows I went into a Radio Shack, and with one of the displays did this.

Got to the C prompt, and typed in "format C:".......... Didn't hurt the computer, but caused the employees work to reload everything. That command is like an eraser on a piece of paper, but in this case it erases everything on your hard drive. Operating system software is more complicated than that now, but you get the idea.

True, and many people are unfamiliar with the differences between marquetry and inlay.

What do you need that much horse power for, if not gaming?
